The Senior Project Engineer is responsible to oversee and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects and perform technical research and economic analysis in regard to capital improvement projects.
GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop project feasibility proposals based on engineering studies and cost projections analysis, and prepare CER for feasible projects;
Oversee and manage project execution from vendor selection and detailed engineering design throughout construction, validation and startup;
Manage budget, forecasts and schedule of assigned projects for timely and cost effective project delivery;
Supervise core project team and coordinate commissioning activities with other functional groups and outside vendors to ensure successful project delivery;
Lead efforts to troubleshoot facility issues and budget challenges, considering other stakeholder requirements; budget and schedule constraints; design basis; sound engineering practices and current industry best practices;
Manage communications and maintain collaboration between multiple stakeholders including senior management, internal customers, contractors and regulatory team for successful project delivery;
Drive continuous process improvement activities including use of six sigma and lean methodologies in support of existing operations;
Plan and execute integration, startup, qualifications and validation activities;
Provide monthly update reports to management;
Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements;
Notify supervisor of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies;
Maintain safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping work area in a clean and orderly condition;
Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines;
Perform other related duties as assigned;
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:
Computer and peripherals with standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.
KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field;
Five (5) plus years’ experience in project management, experience related to radiological design requirements a plus;
Experience in quality improvement processes and project management both large and small CAPex;
Knowledge and experience with Excel, MS Word, MS Project and Power Point; CAD modeling
